Welcome to my personal website! I'm a tech enthusiast who loves building software and solving problems. From tinkering with a C64 as a teenager to founding multiple companies, I've always been passionate about creating things that make a difference.

When I'm not working, you'll find me at our cottage in Haliburton, hanging out with my beagle Elvis (@elvisrufflife), playing piano, or flying.

Founded MappedBy to make real estate work better. We build software that helps agents work smarter and cuts friction out of the market, for agents, buyers and sellers in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and 20+ more countries. Three products that work together, plus a couple of smaller ones: ListingAI markets and publishes a listing, JustListings shows it to the world, and PropTea is where agents and buyers work through it together.

ListingAI.com - Marketing and publishing for listings: descriptions, social posts, videos and virtual staging done in minutes, plus the way listings get published to JustListings. Built for agents, open to anyone selling a home. We acquired the brand in 2024, have grown it 4x since, and it now serves 31,000+ agents across 20+ countries.
PropTea.com - Our newest product, launching soon. A collaboration platform for agents and their buyers, and for buyers with their partners, parents and housemates. Comments from other buyers, private notes and your agent, layered on the home sites you already use. Works anywhere in the world on all the major portals, and free for home buyers and renters.
JustListings.com - A free global listing site. Agents publish once and reach buyers and renters anywhere, beyond their local MLS. Every listing shows exactly who represents it: no middleman charging for access, no leads sold against your own work.
Forwarding.mobi - Second phone numbers that forward calls and texts to your real phone, in 25+ countries. Agents put a unique number on each listing, sign or ad so they know exactly which one generated the lead, and their personal number stays off public listings. Also handy for marketplace sellers, small businesses, marketing campaigns and anyone who'd rather not hand out their real number.
Forwarding.email - Email aliases that forward to your real inbox. One alias per listing, campaign or portal tells you where each enquiry came from, and when a source turns into spam you block it or delete the alias. Works just as well for signups, newsletters, shopping and job hunting.

Owner and operator of a three-unit rental property in Toronto's Little Italy. In 2018 I stepped away from tech for a year to work with my hands, gutting and rebuilding the 1904 house from the foundation up, then added a basement unit in 2022-23 and new kitchens in 2025. Everything from the tenant guide to parking bookings runs through its own site, which I built myself.

2021 - 2022
Gadze Finance

Helped Mike Silagadze, who I'd worked with at Top Hat, set up his DeFi fund and built out its initial technology. I left at the end of July 2022: administering a fund well is stressful work, and the 24/7 nature of crypto markets just wasn't a lifestyle I enjoyed. That November the FTX collapse left part of the fund's assets stuck in the exchange's bankruptcy. I wasn't involved by then, but it's part of the story and I'd rather tell it than skip it.

Worked on growth narrative and prepared for IPO/PE opportunities.

Private Pilot Licence

Earned my private pilot licence and night rating at Brampton Flight Centre. Still one of my favourite ways to see Ontario.

Moved to Toronto and worked at various tech companies including Hostopia before venturing out on my own.

Originally from a small town in Australia. Studied at TAFE NSW and University of Newcastle. Started as the local computer repair guy, then sold replica ink cartridges at traveling computer markets. Built my first Learning Management System for a risk management consultancy.
